OUR LEGACY: Rosa Ranch is a family-owned and operated ranch located 45 minutes southwest of Bozeman in Willow Creek, Montana near the headwaters of the Missouri River. Rosa Ranch has been providing natural, grass-fattened beef to satisfied customers in Southwest Montana since the early 1980's.
QUALITY FORAGE: Our livestock is born and raised on Rosa Ranch land, which encompasses several thousand acres of native prairie grasses, dryland and irrigated legumes (alfalfa, sanfoin) and introduced grasses (timothy, orchard, brome). In addition to these high quality forages, we provide an abundance of clean and clear water for our cattle, which flows into the Willow Creek from the Tobacco Root Mountains. We also use a dozen solar-powered wells on remote parts of our ranch to keep riparian areas around springs free of livestock. QUALITY CARE: Animal well-being at Rosa Ranch is a high priority. From birth to shipping, we use Low-Stress Handling techniques and work our cattle in Temple-Grandin designed handling facilities. Our Intensive Grazing Management Program, now in its 30th year, allows us to keep a close eye at least once a day on our entire herd when shifting various groups from pasture to pasture daily. Our cattle are hormone and antibiotic free & genetically selected for grass fattening ability, all of which means better tasting beef for our long time customers. We only market young beef (30 months of age and younger). Our beef meets the requirements of the 5-Step Global Animal Partnership (GAP) Beef Cattle Program.
QUALITY PROCESSING: Our beef is processed at Amsterdam Meats in Churchill, Montana (406-282-7800). This facility is a premiere & humane Temple Grandin-designed facility. Their experienced staff will help you with cut selection, packaging options, and dry-age hanging options.
